
Arcadia—Methodist Hospital, through a grant from Southern California Edison (SCE) will offer a free educational summit on Type II diabetes Saturday, Aug. 14,at the Jack Crippen Senior Center,
3120 North Tyler Ave., in El Monte.Offering a healthy breakfast, educational handouts, raffle prizes and snacks, the summitwill be held 8:30 a.m. - 12 p.m.

SCE provided a generous grant to conduct these free multicultural educational summits on Type II diabetes to reach out to underserved people in the Chinese, Spanish and senior communities. A total of nine culturally and linguistically tailored summits will be held this year.
