His celebrations are not until Aug. 11, but the Tribune would like to recognize Supervisor Antonovich for his 30 years of stellar service to Southern California. On August 12, Antonovich reaches another milestone, as he turns 71.Presidents Ronald Reagan and George Bush appointed Antonovich to numerous presidential committees and commissions, including the Fulbright Foreign Scholarship Board, the U.S.-Japan Advisory Committee and the U.S. Delegation to the United Nations International Conference on Indo-Chinese Refugees.His 30 years as a county supervisor have been characterized by his commitment to public safety, support for small business, foster children, seniors and veterans.
