PASADENA - Jon R. Yasuda has been elected to serve on the Huntington Hospital board of directors, beginning a three-year term this month.

“Jon will be a great addition to our board,” said Stephen A. Ralph, Huntington's president and CEO.
“He has been incredibly active within the community, providing civic leadership to established organizations such as the Boy Scouts, and currently serving as a media consultant for the Hispanic and Asian communities.”

Yasuda began his career as a manager at KMEX-TV in Los Angeles, where he held several sales management positions.
He was vice president and general manager of KSMS-TV in Monterey, where he managed the Univision affiliate.
From there, Yasuda worked as vice president and director of sales for KPLS Radio and KVEA-TV in Los Angeles, respectively.

Yasuda has served as president and CEO of Asian Media Group, where he was responsible for strategic planning and daily operations for KSCI-TV in Los Angeles and KIKU-TV in Honolulu.

He spearheaded signature community events that greatly propelled visibility and revenues for the station, as well as negotiated programming agreements with companies in China, Korea and Japan.

Having earned a B.A. in economics from University of California at Los Angeles, Yasuda also completed the Broadcast Leadership Training Program for the National Association of Broadcasters Educational Fund (NABEF).

In 2001, Yasuda was granted the Community Service Award by Mayor Richard Riordan of the City of Los Angeles.
He currently resides in San Marino with his wife Silvia and two children, Andreana and Danielle.
